You have chanced across the blog of a middle-aged Ontarian who discusses (with very little actual knowledge or authority) such topics as gardening, music, supply teaching, genealogy, and cooking. Said chap is husband to lovely, talented, supportive lady (The Missus), father to two lovely, and talented teenage daughters, master/slave to three demanding and very non-talented cats. To quote the song Mr. Cellophane from the musical, Chicago "I hope I didn't take up too much of your time!"

A Very Photogenic Herd
As Hyacinth Bucket once mentioned passing "a very photogenic herd recently on the Earl of Crawford's estate", so did I the other day. You can take the boy, off the farm, but you can't take the farm out the boy. Simmentals have long been my favourites, and this herd fits the bill. Note there is even one spotted face, my personal fave.
And that is about all I have to say for today.
Musings and meanderings from the Musical Gardener.

I had a three or four cows come walking through my backyard last Sunday. This was right after Irene came by with her havoc. With the ground in swamplike conditions, they left nice large indentations all over the lawn. Hubby is not in love with the cows this week
ReplyDeleteWe have a herd of cattle at the end of the street three blocks away, edge of town. I keep driving by and saying why didn't I bring my camera? Your photos are great cow shots. We had hereford cattle when I lived on the farm in Southern Iowa.
ReplyDeleteCuties! I love cows and we have plenty around here. You got some great shots.
