More Daylilies - Mid Season

The day lilies are pretty much prime season right now, and what a show.

Now if I could just find a true purple one.  Is there any other flower as photographed under fake light or blue filters?  All the catalogues and websites show beautiful purples with blue undertones, but when you google these same varieties in real situations, they tend to all look maroon or mauve under nature light conditions.  I guess it's another of those illusive grails - the red iris, the orange petunia - of the floralcultural world.

Again I apologize for the ones that are not identified.  I have had some of these much longer than I have been labeling properly.  Just one of those things you learn to do as you trial and error in the garden.

And that is about all I have to say for today.

  1. So pretty. Do you get as many "lookers" as you did at the farm?

  2. Well the traffic is no where near what it used to be on the farm, but we do get a lot of folks commenting on the gardens.
