Anyway, I've been mulling over in my mind if I should put more in this fall. We so enjoyed them last spring, and I did have one location that needed something in early spring, so the die was cast. I enjoy going to the shops and looking to see what new colour combinations are available. Of course, I'm too early for bargains yet, but I figured I can splurge a wee bit.

I dig the holes about six inches deep, put a good liberal handful of bonemeal in and then plunk either five or six bulbs in, cover them up and leave them be. All I have to do is wait for spring.

I'm a veg' gardener, and know almost nothing about flowers. But those look very good; maybe I should have a go!
ReplyDeleteI do love, love, love my tulips. However, some of the bulbs increase over the years, and others, after giving me a few seasons, just only produce the green leaves. I have found that the more exotic, expensive ones are the short lived ones. However, when they bloomed in the spring, they were something to see.
