Eldest got home, via train, Thursday night from university, for Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. My little family is back together for a few golden days.
The Missus, Youngest and Yours Truly, we get along okay, but there's just something missing. I think it's called fun. Put three melancholies together too long, and things can get a little too introspective.
Last night my ears perked to the sound of music, then there was dancing and best of all unbridled laughter coming from our kitchen. Big Bang Theory was white noise on the TV, Korean pop warbled from the computer, and Queen blasted from a laptop - utter chaos. All felt right with the world!
What up! |
I'll keep my ear open. |
My golden girls |
That is just some of the stuff I have to feel thankful about.
And that is about all I have to say for today.
Musings and meanderings from the Musical Gardener.
Enjoy those golden moments, and a very Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
ReplyDeleteI tried to leave a message yesterday, but it evidently got lost somewhere in the ether. (Either that, or I took off in a big hurry without doing the verification thingie ..) Anyway, your garden wish list sounds super, except for one thing. That upside-down topsy-turvy tomato planter. Everyone I know who's tried them has been extremely disappointed with the results. Then again, maybe your thumb is greener than most. (Uh-oh. As a man, I reckon you'll take that as a challenge ...) Oh well, good luck with it. Let us know how it goes. Maybe it'll work better in your cooler climate.
Oh Susan, you do realize you have firmly cemented the idea in my mind, and stiffened my resolve to do it successfully. Thanks for that! You know how we men like a challenge.
ReplyDeleteHappy Canadian Thanksgiving!!!!
