More Fall Colours In My Garden

I'm amazed at the colours still showing in the garden for late October.  I need to get deadheading, but I hate to take any of the last flush of colour out.  Well that combined with  the fact I haven't had the opportunity to do so yet.
This is a variegated weigela plant - kind of reminiscent of a poinsetta.
Solomon's seal - I like the contrasting lime green and gold this time of year..
A few tiny crabapples on my flowering crab tree.
A definite late bloomer - end of October
Nasturtium still blooming away, after all these months - a definite must-have for next year.
More shots of the weigela bush.
Smokebush

And that is about all I have to say for today.

Musings and meanderings from the Musical Gardener.

  3. They really are very nice colors. The crab apples are still hanging in there, waiting for a good freeze to brown them up a little.

  4. My tiny crabapples, a mainstay for migrating birds, have all been stripped off by American Robins and Cedar Waxwings.
