So I’ve taken Far Side of Fifty’s advice and gotten Windows Live Writer, to see if I can alleviate the issues I’ve been running into with Blogger. So here goes:
Well Thursday was a snow day in Eastern Ontario. We had freezing rain (lots of it) and then rain and then more freezing rain. Friday dawned, and the buses were running. Running they may have been, but common sense would say we should all have stayed home. However, schools and buses were both in service so it was Hi ho, hi ho and off to work we go. Of course I was at one of my more distant charges, a 45 minute run on a good day. I was about an hour in the morning and considerably longer on the way home. It was freezing rain and rain in the early day and then major snow – six inches or better. When I finally arrived home, it was to a power outage.
At least it was a good opportunity to keep warm, ploughing the driveway. Fortunately, the hydro popped back on at 6:00 pm – thank goodness, as the temperature plummeted overnight.
Today I went out and snapped a few shots of winter’s latest puking session.
And that is about all I have to say for today.
Musings and meanderings from the Musical Gardener.
Those bent over trees don't look too happy. Pretty and white, though.
ReplyDeleteThe snow passed to the northeast of us. I am very grateful for that.
ReplyDeleteDriving in snow is difficult; driving in freezing rain is very dangerous. Glad you made it home safely.
The Ontario bloggers are all on the same topic today. That's some kind of storm. The rain and freezing rain make for treacherous conditions.
ReplyDeleteWe are going to get a little snow and much colder.
You got considerably more freezing rain than us! Makes for beautiful photos, though.
ReplyDeleteOOh those snow pictures are giving me the chills. I think i'd prefer it to all the gale force winds we've been encountering in Scotland recently.
ReplyDeleteHappy New year
Puking..winter puking session..well said! I hope you like Live Writer I sure do. Great puking photos:)
