Walk Through Town

The heat is upon us - rather oppressively so this week, I must say.  I hate to complain, but I wish we could store it up for those cold January mornings.

We've managed to walk our 10-15 K's most days this summer, but we've found it easier to get up early and be home by 8:00 or 9:00.  That way we at least start out in bearable temperatures.

Our eldest works as a chambermaid/breakfast attendant at a local motel, for the summer months, and has to be to work for 6:15, so we take her, park the van and walk from there.  It has been a good way to vary the scenery.  Today we took the scenic walking trail, along the St. Lawrence.

Just a nice front yard at the start of the walk

Sorry it is over exposed - this was beautiful

The entrance to the railway tunnel.  It actually runs under several blocks of the city and comes out at the north end, but is closed due to safety reasons.

I hope you enjoyed it, half as much as we did, without the sweat or deer flies.

And that is about all I have to say for today.

  1. What a neat place to walk. Fun. I know you would prefer sand and Joshua Trees, right. :-)
