I did not grow poor (despite my mother telling me otherwise) but my Dad did and I know how much it affected his entire life. The things that happen to us have far-reaching and long-lasting effects that can take a long time to undo. I think you're doing just fine. :)Knatoleehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03809822081515082096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8208258705472054269.post-8462493117591237552011-10-13T00:43:43.941-04:002011-10-13T00:43:43.941-04:00BTW when you last posted, did I successfully get r...BTW when you last posted, did I successfully get rid of the word verification?Everything Changeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01235695098951091561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8208258705472054269.post-65411184545478048862011-10-13T00:42:42.200-04:002011-10-13T00:42:42.200-04:00Fear has been an overshadowing cloud with me, too....Fear has been an overshadowing cloud with me, too. I have looked back and seen how controlled I was by fear. I have determined just lately to purpose to be more motivated by intentional desire than fear, and some days I do better than others, but it's a positive step. Even taking the dog for a walk in the dark is something I could never have done even a few years ago. Of course, if I successfully dismiss the fear of the dark, I will soon have to get another dose of urban common sense!Everything Changeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01235695098951091561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8208258705472054269.post-67157743430082115992011-10-12T19:43:35.288-04:002011-10-12T19:43:35.288-04:00No worries man, I think you confessed to the fears...No worries man, I think you confessed to the fears most of us struggle with.

Thanks so much for your candid post.

God bless ya and have a magnificent day man!!!Nezzy (Cow Patty Surprise)https://www.blogger.com/profile/10175389676508928061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8208258705472054269.post-49173577504247243222011-10-12T11:18:01.441-04:002011-10-12T11:18:01.441-04:00Thanks for sharing. It's how we connect with other people.Having the rug pulled out from under us is always scary, but you're right it can lead to new feelings of competence. I think most of us struggle with worrying about what people think of us. As a parent I find I worry about what my kids' friends think of us,more than what people my own age think of me. It's an ongoing challenge.Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01816796977553847916noreply@blogger.com
